Our Story
Silver Butte Springs sits along one of the most dramatic stretches of the Oregon coast, where old-growth forests slope down to meet the restless Pacific. We opened our doors to offer travelers a place of genuine rest — not a stopover, but a destination in itself.
Our lodge draws its name from the silver-barked trees that frame the property and the natural springs that have drawn visitors to this corner of Curry County for generations. Every detail of our design honors the landscape: warm woods, natural stone, and large windows that frame the ever-changing coastal light.

Silver Butte Springs is located directly on Highway 101, making us an ideal base for exploring the southern Oregon coast — from the dramatic sea stacks of Cape Perpetua to the historic lighthouse at Port Orford. We're a short drive from Gold Beach, Bandon Dunes, and the tiny fishing villages that dot this wild coastline.
The Experience

Gray whales migrate past Port Orford each winter, and orcas are regular visitors. Summer brings bald eagles, river otters, and the occasional elephant seal hauling out on nearby beaches.
Fresh Dungeness crab, line-caught halibut, and local oysters define the region's cuisine. Port Orford's small restaurants and seafood markets serve some of the finest coastal food in Oregon.
